What to pack in your camera bag.
As a wedding photographer, it's important to be prepared for anything on the big day. That's why it's essential to have a well-stocked camera bag that has all the gear you need to capture every special moment. Here's a list of some of the items that I always make sure to have in my wedding camera bag:
Cameras: Of course, the most important item in my bag is my camera. I always bring at least two cameras to a wedding, so I have a backup in case of any technical issues.
Lenses: I bring a variety of lenses to a wedding to give me flexibility in the types of shots I can get. My go-to lenses for weddings are a 50mm, a 35mm, and a 70-200mm.
Memory cards: It's always a good idea to bring plenty of memory cards to a wedding, as you never know how many photographs you'll end up taking. I usually bring at least two cards for each camera.
Batteries: Make sure to bring extra batteries for both your cameras and any other electronic equipment you're using, such as flash units.
Flash: A flash can be a useful tool for low light situations or to add some fill light to a photograph. I always bring at least one flash unit with me to a wedding.
Tripod: A tripod can be helpful for group shots or for capturing long exposures.
Reflector: A reflector is a simple and versatile tool that can help fill in shadows and add some warmth to a photograph.
Lens cloth: A lens cloth is an essential item for keeping your lenses clean and free of smudges.
First aid kit: It's always a good idea to have a small first aid kit on hand in case of any minor injuries or emergencies.
By keeping these items in my camera bag, I'm prepared for any situation that might come up on a wedding day. Of course, every photographer's bag will be different depending on their personal gear preferences and style, but these are the items that I always make sure to have with me.
