We are Ross & Rachel. Yes, you read that correctly. We are the REAL Ross & Rachel, and we were NEVER ON A BREAK!
Much like the show FRIENDS, our love story is a classic one. Ross is from Grand Rapids, Michigan and Rachel is from Manalapan, New Jersey. We migrated down south and met in Dallas, Texas. We both knew early on that we were each other’s lobster. After three years of dating, we tied the knot in Charleston, South Carolina on 6/25/22.
Ross holds two Masters Degrees in Music and Art. Rachel has her Bachelors in Public Health. Ross attains a sharp eye and crazy creative energy. Rachel is meticulous to detail and a master of poses. Our unique views and personalities come together to create the perfect vision for your special day.

We are based out of Charleston, South Carolina but we frequently travel for weddings and other photoshoots. We are always passport ready and love to travel so please feel free to reach out about any destination weddings. If your destination is on our travel list, we will gladly offer a discount.
1. WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED AND DO YOU TRAVEL?
2. WHAT IS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHIC STYLE?
Our art style is regal, romantic, and can be described as light and airy, however we happy to pose and style whenever necessary. We can edit your photos in several styles from light and airy to moody or boho. Just ask!
3. WHAT CAMERA EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE AND DO YOU HAVE BACKUP GEAR?
We use professional grade Nikon bodies with a variety of lenses as well as external lighting equipment. We can also shoot with a film Contax body and 80 mm lens for beautiful portraits. We have backup cameras, batteries, lenses and flashes so we am prepared for whatever could happen.
Yes! We offer a variety of albums, prints, canvases, keep sake boxes, loose prints and more. Each album is custom designed to be unique to you and printed from a third party with the finest quality paper so you can enjoy for generations. They are not included in my packages but may be added to any service we offer.

5. HOW LONG UNTIL WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?
We have a guaranteed delivery time of 4 weeks for wedding photos, however it’s always sooner. We strive to get them done as soon as possible and our clients frequently praise us for our super fast turnaround time. Other photoshoots take way less, typically a week for family photos.
6. DO YOU WORK WITH A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?
One of the perks of booking with Ross and Rachel Photography is that you get two professional photographers for the price of one and that is super beneficial on your wedding day. Having this will increase the chances that all the moments will be captured and will also offer some variety to your photos. The timeline will run smoother as well.
7. SHOULD WE HAVE AN ENGAGEMENT SHOOT?
Absolutely! Not only will you get gorgeous images and create some fun memories together, but you will also have a chance to meet me, see me in action and feel more comfortable for your big day. They are a great opportunity for us to get to know each other better. We also offer discounted engagement sessions when booked with a wedding package.
Your date is officially booked once we have a signed contract and a 20% non-refundable retainer. Please understand we cannot hold a date through email inquiry only, as we receive quite a few for each particular date during the wedding season. They are booked on a first come first serve basis.

9. DO YOU BOOK MORE THAN ONE WEDDING A DAY?
No. Our couple's wedding has my complete focus and attention for the entirety of the day regardless of the amount of hours booked.
10. DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH ALL KINDS OF WEDDING S AND EVENTS?
Absolutely! We photograph weddings of all kinds and love to do so. We are an inclusive photography team.
11. HOW MANY HOURS OF COVERAGE WILL WE NEED?
Every wedding is extremely unique with planning and timing, therefore we do offer a great package with unlimited time. My most frequent booking time is between 6-8 hours. We always insist to book for a little more time than necessary, so nobody feels rushed.
12. WE LOVE YOUR WORK BUT WHAT IF YOU'RE OUT OF OUR BUDGET?
Just talk to us! We don't like turning away clients because of cost and if you are transparent about your budget, we can try to make it work with various customizations to our packages. I know how important budgets are but just keep in mind that these are memories and moments you are investing in, not just more stuff!
13. DO WE MEET BEFORE THE BIG DAY?
We definitely can but it is not a requirement for a smoothly running day. We are happy to meet for coffee, facetime or have a phone call at any time! I can also be directed towards your planner for the more detailed stuff. Engagement sessions are also a fantastic way to meet before the big day and get to know each other.
14. DO I NEED TO PROVIDE VENDOR MEALS?
Vendor meals are not required, but strongly encouraged. If they are not provided, we will need to have around an hour break to grab a meal/coffee!
15. DO YOU SHOOT RAW OR JPEG? CAN I HAVE THE RAW IMAGES?
We shoot everything in RAW format and post processing varies from shoot to shoot. You cannot have the RAW images.
16. WHAT EDITING PROGRAMS DO YOU USE?
We use Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom for all of the color correcting, lighting, and blemish removal. We go above and beyond to deliver you with be the very best photos. To do this we use multiple AI programs to help in that process as well!
17. DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS
We run promotions from time to time. Off-season and weekday pricing is available upon request. We also offer various mini sessions throughout the year for portraits.
18. HAVE YOU SHOT AT OUR VENUE BEFORE?
We have shot at majority of the major venues in the Charleston area, however if we have not, we assure you it will not matter. We arrive at least 30 minutes prior to our scheduled time so we can scope out locations and find the most aesthetically pleasing spots in the area.
19. WHAT IF I HATE TAKING PHOTOS?
We promise you have nothing to worry about! We know how it feels to feel uncomfortable with having our photo taken. We are very good at making you feel beautiful and confident. During the shoot, I offer several prompts to capture the action and to get you to have a natural vibe.
20. DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH EVENTS AND GATHERINGS?
We do! We photograph all sorts of special events and would love to take part in yours. Custom packages are available for whatever your needs may be.
